As many of you know, I have three kids, all less than four years apart. My wife Lily is a true super star.
So I went to my daughter’s preschool to read to read to her class. As all the kids gathered around, instead of my daughter sitting with her classmates, she wanted  to crawl up next to my leg and sit there.
While I was reading, I didn’t even realize what was happening until I saw this picture my wife took:
Isn’t  this the most precious picture you have ever seen?  It melts my heart… I’m the luckiest man alive.
She didn’t want to watch “Dad” read…. she wanted to just be close to “Dad.”
Tell me what this picture says to you….

Philip
I am so grate full you are the kind of father you are and that on your web page I think I read it under “about me” you speak about the importance of a father. I am so great full as when I volunteer with kids in Jv Hall we find many times Kids without fathers or fathers who are so busy with work end up in correction facilities. I am praying Philip that through your website you can teach other fathers, that the touch of a father’s hand and a father’s heat are so important to a child. Showing a Father’s LOVE is just as important as a father putting food on the table for their children and family. It just needs to be balanced out.
After all a Father and Mother’s LOVE is emotional food for a child and without it they will starve for affection and with out affection from their parents, many times children grow up with the lack of self worth. Feeling they are only in the way of a families goals and dreams.
Children are a real blessing from God. I just wish I had one but I guess I am blesses with hundreds of kids who lost their way, even in families with loving parents. That is when I have the pleasure of working with them on a faith based level.
PRECIOUS & PRICELESS !!!
you are a lucky man i have a 15 year old daughter that i havn’t seen in 5 years because of a bad break up between her mother and i ….i think about her all the time and i know there will be a day when she will be back in my life again you brought a tear to my eye ….great photo ..god bless your whole family
Keep the faith as sometimes life throws us curve balls. But we have a Higher Power out there I call God who will straighten life out if we just put our concerned in his hands. Harder said than done. I know as I have to put some things now in my family. All I know in my life, is that God is faithful.
Having been a preschool teacher myself, I know how much your being there meant to her.
Absolutely, “special”!!
it’s not johann herv sorry for the mispelling
That’s so incredible. That is the time of life that is so very precious and that will stay with you all your life. I had two son and the photos that I had of times with them are the times I remember the most. I am forever grateful to God that I have them to remember. I even have more photos of them now and they are thirty and twenty seven.
Thanks
John
I would say she is pround of her father and wants the whole world to know that he is her’s.

Having the time freedom is a great thing. Being able to spend quality time with your duaghter is invaluable. Those pricless moments in time will pass by so fast and befoe you kow it they will be asking for the keys to the car.

Philip, in this instance I think the expression “A picture’s worth a thousand words” understates it by a few decimal points.
As the father of two daughters (fraternal twins) 7-1/2, I so appreciate this post and photo. Keep up the good work! (With the 4 girls, and the credit card advocacy mission)
Your friend and fan,
Richard

Awesome!!
Awesome Philip! When my kids were younger I used to read to them every night. They loved it-even up and thru they were in Jr High. Now they are in High School and College-no time. . .
Enjoy it while you can.
What a beautiful picture. I’m going to forward to my personal email address and show it to my husband, so he realizes what he is missing with our 10 year old daughter.
Thanks for sharing.
excellent picture. bonding moments for father and daughter.
It’s easy to see that she is just as proud of her Papa, as her Papa is proud of her.
that was very helpful for my mental attitude

The nice thing about daughters. It doesnt stop when they grow up.
Mine still cuddle up to me even though they have children of their own.
Wait till you have Grandchildren. If I had know it was so good I would have had them first!
Cherish these times,they are priceless.
Very sweet, and yes you are the luckies man alive. It reminds me when my girls were that small. I use to lay on my belly and they would sit on my back while I read to them. They both drive now. My how time flies.
I printed the picture because I wanted to look at that beautiful, innocent and adoring childs face often.
